Paradise Lost

A cocktail created by Shannon Tebay and published in Death & Co's Welcome Home cocktail recipe book. This drink is a Mai Tai variation that subs orgeat with pineapple syrup, Jamaican rum with chile vodka, and Dry Curaçao with Yellow Chartreuse. The result is an herbal and spicy surprise.

Ingredients:

  • ¾ oz Pineapple Gum Syrup
  • 1 ½ rhum agricole blanc
  • ½ oz chile vodka
  • ¼ oz Yellow Chartreuse
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice

Instructions:

  • Combine all ingredients into a shaker tin.
  • Add a small scoop of crushed ice and whip shake until well-aerated.
  • Strain into a glass and top with crushed ice.

Glass:

  • tiki mug

Garnish:

  • pineapple fronds
  • dried chile
