An original from Brian, @heavymuddle. A daiquiri and a Cuba Libre walk into an AC/DC concert, and this is a result -- funky rum, vanilla, spice, citrus.
Here, a trio of rums provides characteristic funk & molasses notes along with traces of coconut and banana, meshing really nice with the vanilla and spice of the Kola syrup and Velvet Falernum.
Ingredients:
- ¾ oz Sugarcane Kola Syrup
- 1 oz Brugal White Rum
- ½ oz Black Rum
- ½ oz Smith & Cross Jamaican Rum
- ¾ oz Lime Juice
- ¼ oz Velvet Falernum
- 2 dashes Bittercube Jamaican No. 1 Bitters (or aromatic bitters)
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker
- Add ice and shake hard for 10 seconds
- Strain into a coupe glass
