Texas Fizz
This Texas Fizz cocktail is a slightly modified version of the Texas Fizz that was circulating around bars in London and Paris in the early 20th century. Frank Meier at the Hotel Ritz in Paris switched the soda water in the original recipe for Champagne and took the cocktail to a whole new level.
Ingredients:
- barspoon Real Grenadine
- 1 ½ oz London dry gin
- ½ oz lemon juice
- ¾ orange juice
- 2-3 oz sparkling wine
Instructions:
- Add everything but the sparkling wine to a shaker tin
- Add ice and shake for 10 seconds
- Strain into a champagne flute and top with sparkling wine
