Caramelized fig syrup replaces the usual simple syrup, bringing a rounder, more complex sweetness than plain sugar can, and chocolate bitters do what Angostura would in the original, only pointed more directly at the banana liqueur and the torched banana garnish. Bourbon still anchors the whole thing.

Ingredients:

¼ oz Caramelized Fig Syrup

2 oz bourbon

¼ oz banana liqueur

1 dash chocolate bitters

Instructions:

Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice

Stir 20 seconds

Strain into a chilled glass over large format ice

Glass:

rocks

Garnish

torched sugared banana
