A customer original by Michael S. made for our "Cruella" cocktail competition. This cocktail has the smokiness of the mezcal combined with the menthol of the Fernet-Branca making you think it's going to be a harsh drink, but comes out balanced and sophisticated.

If you don't mind a little bitterness in your cocktails, you're going to really enjoy this.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Pineapple Gum Syrup
  • 1 oz mezcal
  • 1 oz Fernet-Branca
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 1 dash Bittermens Burlesque Bitters

Instructions:

  • Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker
  • Add ice and shake hard for 10 seconds
  • Strain into a chilled rocks glass

Garnish:

  • lemon wheel
