Martini Cocktail 1888

The great Dale Degroff's interpretation of the great Harry Johnson's "Fancy Gin Cocktail", the predecessor of the martini.

Ingredients:

• barspoon Classic Gum Syrup
• 1 oz Old Tom style gin
• 1 oz sweet vermouth
• 2 dashes Bitter Truth Bogart Bitters
• 1 dash of either dry curacao or absinthe

Instructions:

• Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice
• Stir 20 seconds and strain into a chilled coupe
