The marionberry was first grown in 1956 as a cross between the Chehalem Blackberry and Olallieberry. The two complemented each other perfectly.

I love this blackberry syrup. It’s rich, very blackberry, and a beautiful deep purple red that gives cocktails a lovely visual. I love the Bramble suggested on the bottle, and it also pairs delightfully with basil eau de vie for a less common flavor.
The blackberry syrup makes a great black berry martini;
Ingredients
* 4oz Blackberry Gin
* 2oz Cherry Liquor
* 4oz Cranberry Juice
* 2 Tsp Blackberry Syrup
* Dash lime juice
INSTRUCTIONS
Place in a chilled shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds.

My wife leans towards gin based cocktails and she said the gin bramble I made her with the Marion Blackberry syrup was among the best she’s had and has requested it frequently ever since. That’s high praise because she’s really picky about her cocktails!!
