I have to admit, I'm relatively new to mixing my own Craft Cocktails. I've always thought of myself, more as a Cocktail Appreciator rather than a Cocktail Designer. But my man-crush, "Steve The Bartender" has opened my eyes to just-how-cool it is to combine good ingredients, some artistic license, and a perfect smile, in the quest of the Perfect Concoction. And with that, the awesome Three-Pack of over-the-top syrups has not only made the quest easy, but it has again opened my eye (and pallet) to a whole new set of flavors...which has introduced me to liquors that I would never have otherwised even considered putting in my glass! For example, Brandy! Never, not ever, would I consider anything that had the word, "Brandy" in it. Yup, not for me. Not ever. Of course, I had never had a "Honey Cakes" cocktail before. Probably because I had never had Almond Orgeat Syrup before (or even heard of it!) I have to tell you, this is a show-stopper for me. The Liber Syrup has such an incredible blend of flavors that seems to keep changing the longer it remains on my tongue. It is sweet - but not too sweet - and has a nutty flavor to it. It isn't "Amaretto" kind of sweet, but rather a deep flavor all of its own. Absolutely delicious and has changed my outlook on "those old liquors that used to be in my grand parent's locked cabinet!" And while we are talking about "old liquors," I have to call out Cognac and Benedictine! I mean, really? Those are just dusty old bottles in a liquor store with zero demand, right? Wrong! The "Goodnight Peach," with Liber's Yakima Valley Peach Syrup has again, blown me away and filled me with an "explorer's desire for new discovery!" Again, the Liber Syrup has perfectly balanced the frutiness of a Peach, without giving any kind of artificial flavor to it. The liquors come in over top of that base and sit perfectly with the Liber awesome elixer, making this my new, "I just want to be alone with my thoughts and maybe binge watch some "Severance," and sip away on this incredible mix of alien-to-me ingredients that are now becoming my besties!"
I could go on and on about Liber Co's Syrups...but if I'm honest with you, I do have one complaint: why can't you sell them in Gallon Jugs?
I guess the first step is to "admit that I am powerless over Liber and Co Syrups!!!"
Keep them coming, Liber! Heaven has a special place for you all! And you as well, Bartender Steve!!
