Excellent book, that explains the history of Tiki, and how to make some amazing drinks. Loving it!!
Fantastic book, a must have for any one who loves tiki drinks. A great history and story of tiki culture and rum with great drink recipes interspersed throughout.
Excellent! I haven't finished the book yet, but I'm really enjoying the history of tiki and the drink recipes I've made so far (mai tai, Hawaiian sunset). Only complaint is I wish there was more information on the recommended rums (organized by category) such as tasting notes, which drinks and/or flavors they work well with, etc. I'm a rum noob and wasn't even aware of all the different types of rum until I read this book. Needless to say, my liquor cabinet is about to expand :)
I knew of this book before I bought it, but I didn't realize how much more than just recipes it is. The history of tiki is a great read, but the history of rum and in depth discussion about the many different types and how to use them is the backbone of this text. An absolute must have for any aspiring rum connisseur or home tiki bar enthusiast.
The Tiki drinks are delicious, and the book has a lot of interesting information about the history of tiki. Plenty of recipes to accompany them. too! I look forward to trying many more.
