My Go-To Book

I am about 100 pages in so far and this book is absolutely delightful. I have been a sponge and have tried absorbing as much as I can from the wealth of knowledge that Death & Co has put in. Great tools and suggestions that are useful for newbie and veteran bartenders alike. This book really dives into the long time experience of these bartenders that have experimented non stop for years, making thousands of cocktails. They tell you what works, what doesnt, and WHY, which is super insightful.

Beautiful Book

Fabric bound hard cover, good book for putting on display somewhere. It’s very informational (sections on how to build a bar, different glasses, various mixologist terms, etc) so would be good for a beginner. There’s tons of unique cocktails too. Would recommend for any level!

Death and Co

This book is really put together well! And while still sifting thru it, I can tell you, their version of a sazarac was excellent!

Excellent as history or cocktail book

First, a great read. Second, lots of terrific recipes, and if you pay attention, you’ll learn how to follow basic rules to craft your own. The first drink I tried was a Naked and Famous, because how could you not (plus I own yellow chartreuse). The Aviation recipe included improves upon everything I need every other recipe to improve- namely control the Luxardo and CDV. Now I get it.
