An Irish Coffee riff. New York bartender Troy Sidle blends génépy and heavy cream to give this a complex herbal punch.

Ingredients:

  • ½ oz Demerara Gum Syrup
  • 1 ½ oz dark rum
  • 8 oz freshly brewed hot coffee
  • 1 oz génépy (or Chartreuse)
  • 3 oz cold heavy cream
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions:

  • Combine coffee, rum, and syrup in mug
  • Combine génépy, heavy cream, and salt in shaker, and shake to make génépy cream 
  • Top with génépy cream
  • Express orange peel over top
