Top 8 Best Orgeat Cocktails Recipes

Orgeat syrup is always a fan favorite. In fact, in 2022, it was our best-selling syrup. Today, we're going to share the 8 Best Cocktails you can make using orgeat.

➑ Scorpion

Trader Vic invented the Scorpion in the 1940s. Originally intended to be shared by many people, by the 1970s he had reduced it to a single-serving cocktail, which is what we're making today. You can blend this cocktail in a blender, but we prefer ours over crushed ice.

Ingredients:

  • ½ oz Almond Orgeat Syrup
  • 1 ½ oz gold rum
  • ¾ oz cognac
  • 2 oz orange juice
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice

Instructions:

  • In a shaker filled with ice, combine the orgeat, gold rum, cognac, orange juice, and lemon juice.
  • Shake well and strain into a hurricane glass filled with crushed ice.
  • Garnish with a dehydrated orange wheel and mint sprig.

➐ RYE TAI

In seventh place, we have the Rye Tai cocktail. This drink replaces the rum in a traditional Mai Tai with a spicier, more full-flavored rye whiskey. Additionally, it swaps out the orange liqueur for pineapple juice to lengthen it out. If you haven't tried this cocktail, you're missing out.
