The Alphonso mango grows in the Konkan region of Maharashtra on India's western coast, where the climate and soil conditions produce some of the best fruit in the country. The Devgad and Sindhudurg varieties hold a Geographical Indication tag from the Indian government, the equivalent of a French AOC designation, legally restricting the name to fruit grown in those specific regions. The harvest runs for a few weeks each spring. We source directly from this beautiful region and have the fruit custom-processed to preserve the Alphonso's signature sweetness and aroma.

Alphonso Mango Syrup Recipes
The King of Mangos
The Alphonso mango takes its name from Afonso de Albuquerque, the Portuguese explorer who brought the variety to India in the 16th century. Centuries later, it's still grown on the Konkan coast and still considered one of the finest mango varieties on earth.
Worth Its Weight in Gold
The Alphonso mango is sweeter, richer, and more floral than any other variety. Its season lasts just a few weeks and its flesh is too delicate to travel well. The local demand is also insatiable, making it one of the most coveted fruits in the world.
Sweet, Floral, Unmistakably Alphonso
The Alphonso mango is rich and sweet, with a creamy, non-fibrous texture and a floral top note that no common mango variety can match. This syrup perfectly captures the intense flavor of the world's most prized mango.
