Marion Blackberry Recipes
Blackberries from Willamette Valley
The Willamette Valley was dubbed the "promised land of flowing milk and honey" in the 19th century. With its highly fertile alluvial soil, the valley is now home to over 500 wineries and many family farms dedicated to growing some of the best blackberries in the world.
The "King Of Blackberries”
The marionberry is so popular today that most of the fresh berries don't make it out of the state of Oregon and are consumed en masse by local Oregonians. With its robust, subtly earthy flavor and juicy sweet-tart profile, who can blame them?
The Balanced Berry
With the ideal sugar to acid ratio, the marionberry is sweet, earthy, and subtly tart.
