Toasted Coconut Syrup
A coconut syrup for all seasons and all spirits! We knew this needed to excel in summery tropical cocktails, but we also wanted a coconut syrup with expanded utility and a unique flavor profile.
Our secret to achieving both? Fresh coconut and coconut sugar.
Coconut sugar is less processed than cane sugar, with natural caramel and toffee notes that deliver the toasted depth you'd expect. Paired with a clean-pouring, fully homogenized coconut base, cold-pressed lemon oil, and a pinch of salt, this syrup has a rich, luscious flavor that's distinctly its own.

Our coconuts are certified organic free trade Laguna Tall coconuts, harvested on the Luzon Island of the Philippines. The coconuts are harvested traditionally, using a long hooked stick to cut down bunches of ripe coconut. Coconut palms in the Philippines are productive year round.
What is the shelf life of Toasted Coconut Syrup and how long will it stay fresh after opening?
It has an 18 month shelf life. See the best buy date on the bottle for the most accurate expiration date.
Once opened and stored in the fridge, Toasted Coconut Syrup will stay fresh for at least 12 months.
Why are there dark specks settling at the bottom of my Toasted Coconut Syrup?
Our Toasted Coconut Syrup is made with coconut sugar, which naturally contains a small amount of indissolvable coconut ash. It's a byproduct of how coconut sugar is traditionally produced and is completely safe to consume.
What changed in the new Toasted Coconut Syrup formula?
Two things changed for the better. First, we rebuilt the flavor foundation around fresh coconut and coconut sugar instead of our previous custom-toasted coconut meat. Coconut sugar is less processed than regular cane sugar and carries natural caramel and toffee notes on its own, which is where the warm, toasty depth now comes from. Second, we upgraded our production line with a high-shear mixer that fully integrates the coconut fat into the syrup, so it pours cleanly every time without needing to be heated or shaken into solution.
Why did you stop using toasted coconut meat?
The old method produced great initial flavor, but toasting the coconut meat reduced its ability to retain fresh flavor over time.
Does the new formula taste different?
It's different and better. Coconut sugar brings the toasted element, the natural caramel and toffee flavor, while the fresh coconut allows the primary coconut character to come through more cleanly.

Toasted to the Core
Coconut sugar carries a natural caramelized sweetness that's less-refined, lending warm, toasty notes and a deeper coconut flavor. The result is a richer, more complex profile compared to syrups built on white sugar alone.
Layers of Complexity
Fresh lemon oil balances this coconut syrup with its sharp and floral top note. Cold-pressed citrus oils - as opposed to steam distilled - are more aromatic and truer to the fruit.
Rich and Nutty
The full-fat richness of real coconut, sweetened with coconut sugar and balanced by salted lemon and a medium-high sweetness.
This syrup helps make the perfect coconut margarita!
Once again, I went to Liber for my Orgeat and tried something new. This time it was the Toasted Coconut syrup. It’s more nutty than traditional grocery store coconut syrup, which is a fantastic enhancement to my cocktails. Interestingly, I found that the wood in my aged rum was more pronounced with this syrup. Highly recommended.

Best product for cocktails
Absolutely great products. The toasted coconut is so delicious. I did play around with it and put something together with Planteray coconut rum, Jamaican rum, Benedictine, demerara syrup and lime. It turned out great!!
